Espinosa Operation Arrow Box Pressed Torpedo CDN Exclusive
$28.50
THE MISSION:
Operation Arrow honours one of Canada’s most famous and conspiracy-riddled aeronautical achievements: the Avro Canada
CF-105 Arrow.
The Avro Arrow was an interceptor aircraft designed and built entirely in Canada. Capable of Mach 2 speeds, it was developed to intercept Soviet nuclear bombers during the Cold War. At the time of its rollout in 1957, it promised to place Canada at the forefront of military aviation technology. However, the program was abruptly cancelled, and all prototypes and production lines were destroyed under Prime Minister Diefenbaker’s government just two years later.
Operation Arrow is also historic as the first-ever Regional Exclusive produced by Espinosa, at their famed “La Zona” factory in Nicaragua.
With only 4,500 created for Canada ONLY, this cigar packs a punch with a full body and medium-plus strength. Its box-pressed Torpedo shape mirrors the aircraft’s fuselage and features an Ecuadorian wrapper, Nicaraguan Corojo and Criollo fillers, and a Nicaraguan binder.
Operation Arrow delivers notes of leather, vanilla, cream, and molasses.
